Jennifer Blackman has been a civil litigator for more than 25 years and has focused her practice on workers’ compensation defense for more than 20 years.  She has represented companies of all sizes from small family-owned businesses to international corporations.  Her clients have included delivery companies, trucking companies, grocery stores, farms and health care facilities.  Jennifer’s clients have given her the opportunity to build expertise in the areas of average weekly wage and seasonal employment.

Jennifer appeared before the Industrial Commission, civil superior court judges and juries, the North Carolina Court of Appeals and the North Carolina Supreme Court. 

Jennifer earned her Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University in 1997 and had practiced continuously since that time.  Before limiting her practice to workers’ compensation, Jennifer practiced as a real estate attorney, drafted wills and represented drivers in automobile accidents. 

In her free time, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her husband Ed and their two sons.  Jennifer and her sons enjoy baking and playing golf.
